Arush Mehra lives a fairly wealthy lifestyle in Sydney, Australia along with two room-mates, Tanmay Joglekar, and Ali Hyder. He works for a food chain, while Tanmay entertains children as 'Eddy Teddy', and Ali takes care of their apartment. All three are womanizers and usually end up sleeping with around 30 different women every year. Arush travels to Delhi to attend Arjun's wedding, and this is where he meets with Isha Sahni, who also resides in Australia, he impresses and wins her over, both get intimate, and shortly thereafter Isha catches him sleeping with Devika, and both split up. Arush returns to Sydney and forgets about this incident. Then one day they find a baby right outside their door with a note to take care of her. The trio suspect each other of being the father, then attempt to get rid of the child, but change their mind, look after her, name her Angel, adore her, and start a frantic and hilarious search for her mother. A few months later Isha shows up, takes Angel in ...
Pretty awful
Hey Babyy was a huge box office success and further established Akshay Kumar as a dependable actor(Namastey London, Bhagam Bhag, Bhool Bulainya were all massive hits). I only managed to catch this movie on TV a couple of months and it would be suffice to say I was very disappointed. I think most of the blame should fall on Sajid Khan, don't get me wrong I think he is hilarious in five minutes sketches but he can't make people laugh for three hours. The main problem is that Sajid Khan couldn't make up his mind whether he wanted to make Hey Babyy a comedy or a drama, which results in an uneasy mix of both. As a result of that the film fails on both counts, it doesn't make you laugh and it didn't me cry. Now onto the best aspect of Hey Babyy, the songs are tremendous, my favourites being Jaane bhi de and Mast Kalandar(which has a guest appearance by Shah Rukh Khan). Hey Babyy is an unfunny fare from an otherwise hilarious Sajid Khan.

Head Space is a mockumentary that traces the rise and fall of Get A-Head Inc., a company that sells tattoo advertising on people's foreheads. Hampton Shnellenger, the charismatic captain of this shaky ship, takes us on a whirlwind tour of the twisted psyche of the American buying and selling public.

Not the worst film. Really not the best.
Boy gets dumped by STUPID girl. Boy wallows. Boy meets GREAT girl. Stupid girl comes back. I'll leave out what happens, but this is the movie. All else the movie says it is, it never amounts to. The text is far from great, and so is the acting.Three main characters were irritatingly bad. They never step far from acting the same way, no matter what. They did not make real characters of themselves. The parts and this film needed that. But it is not fair to not give credit, when some of these actors were good. The Chainsaw guy was very funny, and very good at his role. The blonde girl playing Margaret was great. I haven't seen a multilayered straight up manipulative character in a while done that well. And my favorite actresses were the Germans. I wanted them more. Every scene they had, they were believable. Overall I think the writing failed these actors. Good idea, poorly executed. Money, some recasting, a rewrite, good director-this could of been really fun and different.

The campus free spirit and scam artist has been GIVEN a bar in tropical paradise. All he has to do is pass a drug test that is impossible. Knowing he failed, he plans the ultimate heist to steal back his tainted specimen and replace it with a clean specimen. The campus pretty boy has spent his four year college career hard at work trying to win a bet he made during his first week of college freshman year, stating he would sleep with 100 women by the time he graduated. He has to sleep with one more woman to win the bet, but with just 12 hours to go in the bet and everyone he has ever crossed while in pursuit of number 100 looking for revenge before he leaves campus forever, winning the bet is the last thing on his mind. Now, he just wants to survive. Two different people, two different stories, colliding in one entertaining film. This film has no profanity or nudity, but promises to deliver over 99 guilty pleasures.
Teen Comedy for the ages
I say teen comedy, as it delivers better then even fast times at Ridgemont high and dazed and confused, but really this is a movie for the whole family (older then 13).
Sooo funny. Couldn't stop laughing the whole time.
The only complaint I have is they should have made it longer. There was without doubt more jokes to be had.
Look for Jereme Badger to be in some big moves very soon. Promising young actor. I really like what Matt Camero did with his character as well. I think he won an award at the Garden State Film festival
If you ever have a chance RENT THIS MOVIE. You will not regret

Having lost an arm in the explosion he caused while attempting to bring his recently deceased mother back to life, Chris Burst, a young laboratory assistant, finds shelter in the house of a dealer to his friends.
Excellent !
I am lucky I had the opportunity to see this movie at the Brussels International Film Festival and I have to say it is really excellent for a first feature movie. Of course you can see it is "made in Belgium", humor and sarcastic situations are revealing a much more wild side. The actors are mostly newcomers but it gives a particular emotion to the audience, it is also true that many jokes or scenes contain a humor to be understood by the Belgians only. Dr Chris seems to have a lot of imagination, since the very beginning of horror movies and of the cinema itself it's the first time I see someone killing people with a vacuum cleaner. Well let's hope it will be released in the rest of the World soon. If you like surprises you'll be satisfied :-) and the music rocks, hope they'll release the soundtrack ?!

Very enjoyable
Currently playing at the 2007 German Film Festival in Australia http://www.goethe.de/ins/au/lp/prj/ff07/enindex.htm thanks to Peanutqueen and especially AriesGemini for her rundown on the actors in this ensemble cast.
In Australia these movies were sub-titled in English and while French movies here often get a mainstream release, German movies are still to gather that sort of commercial audience. But like BMWs and Mercedes when Germans get it right I really like their films. Like PQ the time here went so quickly, lots of laughs from the audience as each of the 9 men and 9 women moved down the speed dating line 5 minutes at a time.
While many films are overlong this one I could have watched much more of. It had the sort of characters and character development for a series. Given time I will re-read AriesGemini100 review and reference the actors I liked and their other work with a view to keeping an eye out from them. I agree....most of these actors will go onto bigger and better things. Some very good character actors in this fine film. I did see it in the program listed as a mockumentary. Mock or otherwise it felt very real. And quite romantic in it's way.
Viva la Deutcsh!

Eddie, a lovable loser who's strapped for cash and on the verge of getting evicted from his apartment, thinks he's lost the 135 million dollar winning lottery ticket and enlists the help of his two best friends to help him search for it all over Miami. Unbeknownst to his friends, Eddie has bet money that he doesn't have on the Yankees beating the Marlins in the 2003 World Series, a bet that he must win in order to get the thugs collecting money for his bookie off his back. Will Eddie win the bet? Will he find the ticket? Will greed ruin the friendship with his childhood buddies? Will he get the girl?
Great Story! Very Funny!
This film is so funny! I love all the characters and the story was really original. It's refreshing to see a low budget film out of Miami's indie film scene to be so well done and executed. Never a dull moment. The girls were really hot, especially Angelina Assereto, who plays the sultry Sonia. The main actor John Bryant did a superb job with the main character Eddie. The photography was absolutely beautiful and this film captures Miami like no other film I've ever seen. The characters act and talk like real Miami people.
I believe this this was the director Will Vazquez' first film who is obviously an up and coming talent to watch for. I saw it when it premiered at the Chicago Latino Film Festival in May and I understand it opened the Kansas International Film Festival in September. Let's hope we can get it on Netflix soon.

In this comedy, Lars Lindstrom is an awkwardly shy young man in a small northern town who finally brings home the girl of his dreams to his brother and sister-in-law's home. The only problem is that she's not real - she's a sex doll Lars ordered off the Internet. But sex is not what Lars has in mind, but rather a deep, meaningful relationship. His sister-in-law is worried for him, his brother thinks he's nuts, but eventually the entire town goes along with his delusion in support of this sweet natured boy that they've always loved.
'Being There' for a new generation.
I just saw a screening in LA and a packed house of SAG members LOVED this film! Ryan Gosling's performance hearkens back an equally moving and effective performance from Peter Sellers in Being There, which Gosling and director Craig Gilespie admitted was about their only reference point. Gosling's character is sweet, good natured, and painfully shy and is the heart and soul of this film. His performance as Lars (along with patient direction and a wonderful script) is the prime reason that it all works. I laughed HARD throughout, but by the end I shed real tears over the plot and characters - and I thought doing so over a talking pig was bad! This is a performance WAY out of the ordinary for Gosling, and most of today's young actors could not have pulled it off. Expect an Oscar nomination for Gosling and for the screenplay.

Could life get anymore difficult for Russell McDonald? Soon after finding out the "Mom & Pop" convenience store he was supposed to inherit was sold to corporate America, his girlfriend Danielle leaves him for a sly, seemingly successful narcissist named Mark. Russell is suddenly forced to find happiness and meaning amongst the rubble of his shattered dreams.

Dawn Of The Dead meets Shawn Of The Dead
Okeey. We had Doodeind and Sl8n8. They both weren't great movies. But they were the first Dutch horrors in like 18 years or something, so it was an "okeey" start.
First of all. Horizonica is going straight to DVD. That doesn't mean that this movie isn't good! This movie is really okeey for a Dutch production. The special effects really suck and the story is one big rip-off! The zombies look okeey but not to scary.
This movie is about a few students who get dropped in a forrest and this virus breaks free. Zombies, stupid blonde girls, deep dark forrest, lots of gore, lots of guns, lots of fun! This movies is so stupid that it's funny. You might say it's Dawn Of The Dead meets Shawn Of The Dead and they both meet Blair Witch Project ft. Hatchet vs. Texas Chainsaw Massacre (Yes there are some chainsaws in Horiconica). But hey! It's funny! Great Dutch production!

Act One is a comedy-drama that relays the story of Kevin Hansen, a confident, immature twenty-two year old screenwriter. Throughout his whole life, things have pretty much gone Kevin's way. He's likable, talented, has never had a problem getting girls, and has managed to sell Heatwave, his first completed screenplay, for a million dollars to a major studio. After moving from his hometown of Memphis, TN to Los Angeles, everything seems to be continually getting better and better. However, soon after Heatwave is completely misinterpreted by the studio and becomes a major flop upon its release, Kevin begins to have increasingly greater difficulty with writing his next script. He gets a sneaking suspicion that a turning point (or "conflict," as he refers to it in screenplay vernacular) is on the horizon. And with the first conflict, as any screenwriter knows, comes the inevitable and dreaded "act one" - an act that, unfortunately, means it's time to grow up. Act One explores what it's ...
This is the story of a member of Generation X who finally comes to terms that he needs to grow up.
A great movie in the spirit of the early Kevin Smith works. This film's main attraction is the brilliantly written and flawlessly performed dialog. The movie's plot is easily related to, and the cast is perfect for their roles. One of the few original comedies to emerge in a decade. The writer, cast, and crew of this film are part of a group that's been making movies for almost a decade now. This film represents their first main-stream endeavor. Their other films are along the same lines as far as quality , but run the gambit as far as subject matter and genre. This particular film is a refreshing change from the comedy-a-minute carbon-copy films that Hollywood usually turns out. Some of the humor and subject matter will find an audience with viewers in their 20's more so than older viewers.

A young man finds himself torn between his current girlfriend and an old flame at a funeral of friend where lifestyles and attitudes clash over a long weekend in this faith-based dramedy.
Cheesy Christian Flick
I try hard to give a lot of 'grace' to films from such a tight genre. The Christian movie scene has been glutted with really BAD films. But since Sherwood Pictures came along, there seems to be a marked improvement. When I saw that John Schneider had jumped into this I thought it had to be as good as Facing The Giants or Flywheel. BOY WAS I WRONG.
About every cliché Christian situation is going on here. The acting is HORRIBLE. Schneider is really good - the rest of them just climbed out of the choir loft to help out.
Some questions: Who roofs a house in their nice slacks and dress shoes? What church in America features that many different races? What church member in America is so vocally obnoxious during a worship service? Why is Building 429 playing at a secular bar? Why is "the big chill" band reunion just an overdub of Building 429? The same band that just finished singing? I could go on.
I went to the test screening - was audibly laughing out loud at the sorry quality of the film. Fortunately there was only 3 other people there.
Come on Christians - you don't have to sacrifice proper evaluation just because the movie is on our side. Be real - this one was an embarrassment.

Champak Chaturvedi runs a theatrical troupe in India. He hires two men, Bunty - a graduate in Arts, and Babla- who cannot read nor write English. One has to play the role of the play's hero, while one the villain. Both men end up squabbling with each other, as both want the hero's part. Then Champak finds out that Bunty has molested the play's heroine, Anjali, and punishes him. The group gets a contract to stage 30 plays in Britain, however, on the day of the departure, Anjali opts out, leaving Champak no alternative but to travel without a heroine, but hoping to recruit one while in Britain. Upon arrival, Babla sets about to find a suitable heroine from the Indian population, but Bunty beats him to it and recruits a woman named Munni. Babla has his suitcase switched by another containing heroin, and as a result both men end being suspects by the local Police, whose Commissioner is an Indian, J.D. Mehra. Then both Munni and Bunty fall in love with each other. Then Munni has an ...
A Chase Worth Missing out on
This movie is crazy. Now that's acceptable for a comedy but what is Priyadarshan trying to do.
Though he is quite innovative in creating a few scenes - on the whole he fails miserably in delivering a well packaged ride. I saw this movie albeit after a delay and expected a lot. After all getting to see Govinda join the fun-fare and great promos of the movie were very promising.
But it turned out to be a damp squib. The director fails miserably to conjure up the magic of 'Hera Pheri,' and this time around he seems to have totally lost the plot.
Govinda is wasted since even the best actor requires a script, Akshay Kumar is passable and does what's necessary, Paresh Rawal is nowhere half as humorous as he was portraying Baburao Ganpatrao Apte (Hera Pheri- 2000), the females are there to be forgotten.
The plot or what little there is to it, revolves around the desi stage troupe of Champak Chaturvedi (Paresh Rawal). His lead pair is Bunty (Akshay) and Babla (Govinda). The troupe gets its best break when Asrani offers them a chance to tour London for a month. Alas the heroine (Tanushree Datta) runs away having had enough of these two who keep coming on strong.
So the troupe reaches London and the chase begins to find a leading lady. Akshay meets up and enlists Lara Dutta despite her suicidal tendencies and affinity to fling herself before speeding cars
. Crazy enough
hold on.
It gets crazier with these two getting all mixed up with criminals thinking them to be the police and vice-versa
plus there are a few local goons headed by Shakti Kapoor who is also after them to extract revenge for his fractured limbs. Rajpal Yadav is good as a taxi driver and Jackie Shroff struts along occasionally as the local police chief.
Hold on
there is still something more, this chase gets now real complicated with a murder mystery attached to it. This comes across as a real spoiler... and I need not say more.
Left the way it is
a crazy senseless chase with all the misconceptions, the movie shows promise with funny moments to tickle the audience and dialogues to boot. But this mystery angle comes along and simply spoils everything.
Sanjay Dutt is supposed to have a guest appearance so watch the first 30 minutes closely.. I for one sure missed out on him. And for some reason the climax seems inspired from - It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World (1963)
Once done with, I am confused whether to call it a comedy or a tragic comedy. Watch it in the theatre if you really have nothing better to do. Or else wait for the DVD release and watch it at home
better still
borrow it
cause though this chase is humorous on occasions
most of the time it gets to you with its unnecessary complexities and simply not worth spending much on.

Unlucky, clumsy, charming Marseile PD detective Émilien Coutant-Kerbalec must assist worse-then-Clouseau commissioner Gibert guarding a Belgian criminal reputed as dangerous as - and caged like Hannibal Lector. Émilien's cool friend, taxi driver Daniel Morales, initially only agrees to babysit both their buddy-sons, as Émilien's wife Petra is away on top-secret mission. But soon the Belgian escapes, and while chasing him the mates stumble on a bank robbery and a drug king's palatial villa, where the grand finale reeks havoc.
T4XI 4... a little too taxing I'm afraid!
If you loved Taxi 1 & 2, but weren't too impressed with Taxi 3, then you may not want to bother seeing Taxi 4, (called T4XI in France), as it may upset you to see what has become of the crazy, cool, action packed and funny, original classic. Sure, the whole gang are all there, but unfortunately the action isn't. There must have been less than 20 minutes of decent chases, crashes and other action in the entire movie, and the gags and humor were getting a little tired after the 3 previous movies. I didn't hate the movie but I wished I'd spent my money on something else once I discovered it paled into insignificance compared to the original. I'm not sure what Luc Besson was up to, or was on, when making this movie, but I find it interesting that there's a new 'mobile internet' website for finding taxis on your mob phone with the exact same name, ( t4xi.mobi ), and that on you-tube right now there's ' T4XI ' video clips all over the place! Whether this is some last minute attempt to cross market or boost ticket sales, I don't know, but it's interesting to note that the t4xi.mobi site appeared at almost the same time as T4XI, the movie. Hmm... Could be marketing, but could be just coincidence. It's so hard to tell nowadays! Anyway, after seeing Taxi 4, I was thinking that maybe I'd just out grown that sort humor, but no, it wasn't that at all. It was just plain b- ! I can't bring myself to say that 3 letter 'b' word, not of Luc Besson, so I'll just say it was lacklustre! I really think T4XI has taken its last ride!
