The ultimate rebel Adela boasts three tattoos, a body piercing and a recent arrest for alleged indecent behavior. Petrified that his beloved daughter will spoil his chances of becoming the next governor of Mexico City, Adela's father has enrolled her in the only remaining charm school for young ladies in the city. Maca Ribera guarantees that her school can turn any young girl into a "domestic goddess" ... that is until she meets Adela. The two determined women face-off in a battle of wills that turns the school and its colorful bunch of school-mates upside down when Maca attempts to transform the irreverent Adela into a suitable First Daughter.
The story of Adele is deeper than it seems. A teenager struggles to find her place in society.
Ninas Mal or Charm School will make you smile and feel good!!! In a very nice pace, Charm School shows a very real part of Mexican society. Yes,it portrays the lives of the upper classes!!! Although the movie might represent wealthy Mexicans as shallow or corrupt, it expresses certain facts and deeper problems of today's society. In the middle of it all, the main characters are real and one could identify with either of them. They go beyond their local scene when they make you think about family, love, sex or politics. And, they make you wonder about yourself and your own life!!! Once more, these people tell you that you have to fight, in this new millennium, for what you believe in!!! A must see!!!

An unlucky-in-love graphic designer catches her boyfriend cheating on her and decides it's better to play the field than settle down.
Loved the movie!
This is one of the best Mexican movies I've seen if not the best.
It's a great funny story in which all girls can identify with, we can relate to any of the characters and I'm sure we've all dreamed on becoming "manazers" even if we don't have the guts to do so, so this is the perfect opportunity for us to go and live the magic of getting into the movie.
The music is great on each scene, the script develops perfectly, and it catches you from the beginning all the way to the end. I totally loved Monica Huarte's performance!
I've seen it several times and still find it attractive.
I give it a 10.

How far would you go for the things you love? That's the question the staff of the Forest is forced to ask themselves when they find out that their small town theater has been sold to make way for a large multiplex. In the process of trying to save the Forest, this band of misfits learn valuable lessons about friendship, love and well...porn.

Abby, four years out of college, an aimless child of privilege, comes to Tokyo to be with her boyfriend, who promptly leaves for Osaka. She wants to stay in Tokyo in hopes he'll come back to her, but she's miserable: she speaks little Japanese and has a dull job as a law-firm gopher. She stumbles into the neighborhood ramen shop operated by the aging master chef Maezumi and his wife Reiko. His soup cheers Abby, so she decides to apprentice herself to him. He's uninterested, she's insistent, so he shouts at her and gives her all the cleaning to do. Weeks go by; she's persistent. Will he ever actually teach her to cook? And if he does, will she bring the requisite spirit to the job?
More than just a romantic comedy
This film is about an American girl who uses a Ramen shop as her haven after being dumped by her boyfriend. There, she experiences and learns more than she unexpected to.
"The Ramen Girl" is actually enjoyable to watch. I particularly like the way that it treats Japanese culture with respect. This can be seen by not Americanising the Japanese characters, using plenty of Japanese language in the film and also using actors who actually speaks fluent Japanese. Hearing a Japanese ramen chef explaining the spirit of ramen is quite inspirational, as one could see so much dedication and respect for something seemingly insignificant. "The Ramen Girl" is more than just a romantic comedy or a "Lost in Translation" rip off. It is a good way to introduce Japanese culture, values and traditions to other cultures. I enjoyed "The Ramen Girl" a lot, and I hope it reaches a wider audience.

A sketch comedy movie about the joys and embarrassments of teen sex. But mostly the embarrassments.
This isn't even a movie
The best part about this movie was the credits....
Why is Matt Lillard a star guest playing himself in this movie...u did Scream and Scooby-Doo.
I have never done a review for a movie on IMDb but this movie was so horrible I had to come onto the site and register in order to help save others from wasting an hour and 10 minutes of their life.
This movie doesn't even deserve 4 stars...it doesn't even deserve to be on this website or considered a movie.
I've lost respect for all of the actors that took part in this movie, except for Kyle Gass and Michael Cera but what the hell were they thinking. And poor Will Forte...why did you write this movie. Jesus.

A romantic coming-of-age story in which the kindness bestowed by a glamorous model is returned 30 years later by the young man in whom she inspired the first stirrings of confidence and love.
great review...
My Sexiest Year is an excellent film. Jill Curran who plays Tammy is very sexy and funny! I'll be looking for Jill's work in future films. Jill Curran is a fabulous discovery. I love this awesome film!!! Another amazing performance from the legend Harvey Keitel. This film was cast perfectly. Congratulations to Writer and Director Howard Himelstein. I look forward to seeing his upcoming project; A Woman of No Importance. My Sexiest Year was the first film picked up at the Hampton's International Film Festival and deservingly so. Bravo for making a great film that is adorable and made me laugh. Can't wait until this is out in the movies so I can see it again and again and again.
